Team

Christopher Cederskog

Christopher has over ten years of startup experience. He spent four years in various roles at Airbnb, both in Europe and San Francisco. As well as acting as the company’s General Manager for central Europe, he built teams in global finance and European operations. Prior to joining Airbnb, he played an integral role in the growth of Zalando and founded Berlin-based incubator, Springstar.

Christopher is in the middle of a multi-year project to build a house in his native Sweden.

Georg Bauser

After selling his startup to Airbnb in 2011, Georg spent over four years working with the company on international growth. He set up several offices and teams around the world, including Airbnb’s EU HQ in Dublin, and Trip Business Unit in San Francisco.

It could be his Swabian roots, but Georg loves to bring German quality and efficiency to all internationalization projects. He’s also unable to start or end a day without a bowl of Müsli.

Laura Jassoy

Laura gained her management experience at Fyber, where she built global sales and client management teams. After the company was successfully sold, she consulted for Uber and Axel Springer, and also served as Interim Director of Group Development at venture capital firm, Hitfox. She holds a degree in economics from the University of Mannheim and an MBA from INSEAD.

Laura’s Spanish and German heritage is being passed down to her two wonderful daughters, with whom she spends most of her spare time.

Stefan Braun

Stefan has extensive experience in setting up digital businesses beyond Europe. He founded Myanmar’s first VC backed e-commerce company, launched and managed a German medtech startup’s Thailand branch, and went on to advise international firms on market entry strategies for Thailand.

Stefan loves to learn about new business cultures as much as he loves German bread.

Carolin Sandfort

Carolin is passionate about brands and focuses on helping early-stage startups gain exposure. She brings over ten years of marketing experience—in both corporate and startup environments—to Expansion Partner. Having started her career at Danone, she helped grow such brands as Volvic, Bonafont, and Milupa. In 2014 she joined Airbnb, where she launched their German brand marketing activities and built the German marketing team.

Carolin is the proud owner of a basenji called Red who has more Instagram followers than most people.
